All about routers

We recommend that you choose a Sure-provided router, as they are pre-configured ready for use and in the event of technical difficulties our support staff can help you, as they are fully trained and familiar with the routers we provide.

The routers we support are as follows;

• Technicolour DGA4130
• Technicolour TG 582N
• Technicolour TG 588
• Techniolour DWA0120

You may use your own router and other equipment if you choose, but we are unfortunately unable to offer you support for the set-up or faults, as our agents are trained to deal with all the different router set ups and configurations that are currently in the market.

If you choose to use your own router you need to refer to the manual of the router for all set up and support questions. Your router manual will explain how to:

o Set up a Wi-Fi connection
o Set up the router security features such as adding a password to your Wi-Fi connection
o Configure any options and services your router may offer such as, parental controls, firewalls and anti-virus services.
o Conduct fault finding analysis and trouble shooting

If you do have a query with any faults or issues with a router not supplied by Sure, our retail and/or contact centre will refer you to the router supplier’s website for further assistance.
