NOTIFICATION - Price increases from 1st September 2023

 

Each year, our prices increase in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI) published by the States of Guernsey. 

We understand that recent price increases, driven by inflation, may have caused some concern. We want to reassure you that as a business, we are taking a prudent approach by implementing price increases that are below the headline rate of inflation. We always strive to strike a balance between addressing cost pressures and ensuring affordability for our customers.

Our Pay Monthly Mobile, Home Phone, standard & Fibre Broadband, and business ISDN services will increase by 7.5% from 1st September 2023. This is below Guernsey’s March Retail Price Index (RPI) inflation figure of 8.3%.

Please note that any Pay Monthly mobile contract that has been signed or re-signed since the 1st July 2023 will be exempt from this RPI price increase.

What does this mean?

From 1st September 2023, prices for all Pay Monthly Mobile, Home Phone, standard & Fibre Broadband & business ISDN services listed above will increase by 7.5%. 

What is RPI?

RPI stands for Retail Price Index. Every quarter, the States of Guernsey measures inflation, changes in costs of goods and services, and the cost of living in Guernsey, to derive the RPI figure.

 When does it come into effect?

The price rises come into effect on the 1st of September 2023 and will appear on your first bill after that date.

 What can I do to save money?

To get the best value for money we recommend the Sure Big Bundle. 

Sure’s Big Bundle provides a discount of £10.25 per month.  This is automatically applied as a discount on your bill when you have an Unlimited Pay Monthly Mobile, Home Phone and a broadband plan on the same account.  It is available on broadband plans, Fibre - Essential and above, and broadband plans - Standard plan or above.

Your broadband plan needs to be within its minimum term to receive this discount. 

If your broadband service is outside its minimum term (e.g. you signed or re-signed over 24 months ago), you can simply re-sign to benefit from the Sure Big Bundle. Simply fill in our quick and easy enquiry form, by visiting us at Sure Big Bundle

More than one mobile on your account?

If you have more than one mobile on your account, you may wish to consider our Sharer plans

These plans share the unlimited data, calls and texts of the main Unlimited Standard or Unlimited Max plan. Priced at just £17 per month, add family members now and reduce your monthly bills.

What happens to my discount? 

This will not be affected if you currently receive a discount on your account.
